How to Pay an Immigration Bond in Tennessee
If the government allows release on bond, the person may leave detention while the case continues. They must still attend hearings and follow ICE's instructions. With Amistad, cash or an approved house can back the bond. This is called collateral. Our service fees are separate from the deposit or property. You may also pay ICE directly if you meet its requirements.

With a house, you keep ownership. A lien is recorded against it, meaning the property backs the bond. If ICE says the bond conditions were broken, you may owe money under your agreement. Your house can be at risk if that debt is not paid. Notary charges and the county fee to record the lien release are separate.

If you meet ICE's requirements, you can pay the full bond amount yourself using CeBONDS, its online payment system. Read ICE's current instructions before paying. You do not pay Amistad service fees when you use this option.

How to Get Started With Amistad Bail Bonds

What Happens Next

Choose an option
We explain the costs and review cash or a house as collateral. If you want to use a house, we must approve it first. The initial property review is free.

Complete the documents and payment
Fill out the application, review the agreement and make the required payment. If you use a house, the required owners sign the property document before a notary. Send us a clear scan for review, then follow our instructions to send the original using the prepaid FedEx label.

We check the bond details with ICE
Once the documents and payment are complete, we ask ICE to confirm the bond information.

We submit the bond
After ICE confirms the details, we submit the bond through eBonds, the system bond companies use to send bonds to ICE online. ICE must accept the bond before the release process can move forward.
How Long Does Release Take?
After ICE accepts the bond, the detention center still has steps to complete before the person can leave. The time varies.
Amistad can explain the status of the bond, but cannot promise a release time or same-day release.
No Guaranteed Release Time
No bond company can guarantee a release time or same-day release. ICE controls bond acceptance, and the detention center controls when the person can leave.
Before leaving to pick up your family member, confirm the pickup instructions with the place holding them.
Tennessee Detention Information
ICE lists West Tennessee Detention Facility in Mason as a detention location. Someone arrested in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville or Chattanooga may be held elsewhere, including in another state. Check the person's current location before traveling.
Check the Latest Court Notice
The detention center is in Mason. Memphis Immigration Court is a separate place in Memphis. EOIR lists West TN Detention Facility under that court, but the person's latest hearing notice gives the instructions for their case.
Check the date, time and whether the hearing is in person or by video. Follow the court's official instructions before traveling or sending documents.
