Paul Nello Romero founded Amistad Bail Bonds in 2009 after recognizing that families needed more than help completing paperwork. They needed someone who would explain the costs, collateral and responsibilities in plain language before asking them to make an important financial decision.

Amistad began in North Carolina and later expanded its immigration bond assistance nationwide. Although the company has grown, its purpose remains the same: to help families understand the bond process and the responsibilities that come with it.

Paul was born in Peru and came to the United States as a young boy. He later became a naturalized U.S. citizen. His personal immigration experience helped shape the patient and respectful approach he brings to families navigating an unfamiliar process.

Business Operations

Paul spent 21 years with McDonald's Corporation, including leadership experience as an Operations Business Consultant working with franchise owners on operations, regulatory requirements and financial performance.

Insurance and Risk

He owned and operated a licensed Allstate insurance agency for 10 years, helping clients understand regulated products, financial obligations and risk.
