Welcome to the Amistad Bail Bonds Immigration Bond Calculator. Our easy-to-use tool allows you to estimate the cost of securing an immigration bond, whether it’s a cash collateral bond or a property collateral bond. This calculator gives you an approximate idea of what you may need to post in order to secure the release of a detained individual.
Enter the Bond Amount: This is the amount set by ICE or the immigration judge for the release of the detainee.
Get Your Estimate: Our calculator will provide you with an estimated cost based on the bond type selected.
Choose the Type of Bond: Select either cash collateral or property collateral.
Cash Collateral Bond: Requires 100% cash upfront, with an additional 2% premium and a $100 application fee.
Property Collateral Bond: Requires 15% of the bond amount as a premium, plus a $100 application fee and a lien on the property.
Cash Collateral Bonds: With a cash collateral bond, you must provide the full bond amount upfront as a refundable deposit. In addition, there’s a 2% premium fee, plus a $100 application fee. For example, if the bond amount is $5,000, you’ll need to deposit $5,000 plus pay $200 (2% premium) and a $100 fee. Once the case is complete and ICE releases liability, the full bond amount is refunded to you within 10-15 days.
Property Collateral Bonds: A property collateral bond allows you to use real estate as collateral. In this case, you will pay a 15% premium of the total bond amount, plus a $100 application fee. You’ll also need to place a lien on the property to secure the bond. For example, if the bond is $5,000, your total cost will be $850 (15% premium + $100 fee). This method does not require cash collateral but does involve a property assessment.
