If you don't know where the person is being held, start with our step-by-step ICE custody search guide.
Find Someone Detained by ICEI don't know if there's a bond
ICE detention does not automatically mean a bond has been set. Review the bond requirements and, when legal advice is needed, speak with an immigration attorney about the person's case.
Review Bond RequirementsWhat Is an Immigration Bond?
An immigration bond may allow someone to leave ICE custody while the immigration case continues. The person must continue complying with applicable requirements and proceedings.
Posting the bond does not grant immigration status or end the immigration case. DHS, ICE, or an Immigration Judge, where applicable, determines whether a bond is available and sets the amount.

Immigration Bond or Immigration Bail Bond?
People often use both terms when looking for help. Immigration bonds involve federal immigration custody and are different from bail in a state or county criminal case.
Compare Immigration Bond Payment Options
Once an immigration bond amount has been set, you can either pay the government directly if you meet its requirements or use an immigration surety bond through Amistad.
Amistad's surety bond options can be secured with cash collateral or qualifying property. Compare the costs, collateral requirements and responsibilities before deciding which option fits your situation.
