How to Pay an Immigration Bond in Kansas
You can work with Amistad using a cash deposit or an approved house to back the bond. The deposit or house is called collateral. Our service fees are separate. You may also pay the full bond amount directly to ICE if you meet its requirements.
Cash Deposit With Amistad Bail Bonds
You deposit cash equal to the full bond amount. We hold it as collateral and handle the bond paperwork.
- Cash deposit
- Full bond amount
- Bond fee (premium)
- 2% of the bond amount
- Application fee
- $100
- Annual fees
- $0
Amistad holds the deposit while the bond is active and handles the bond paperwork. The deposit can be returned after ICE formally cancels the bond and you meet the agreement's conditions. The person leaving detention does not, by itself, mean the deposit is ready to return.
See Cash Collateral DetailsUse a House With Amistad Bail Bonds
An approved house can be used instead of a full cash deposit. We review the house at no cost. Having a mortgage does not always rule it out.
- Collateral
- Approved property
- Bond fee (premium)
- 15% of the bond amount
- Application fee
- $100
- Annual fees
- $0
A house must be reviewed and approved first. The review is free, and a mortgage does not automatically rule the house out. You keep ownership. A lien is recorded against the house, which means it backs the amount you may owe under the agreement. The house can be at risk if that debt is not paid. Notary charges and the county fee to record the lien release are separate.
Pay ICE Directly
You can handle the payment yourself through ICE's process if you qualify. You pay the full bond amount to ICE and do not pay Amistad's service or application fees.

Amistad Bail Bonds fees to start
- $1,500 bond fee
- $100 application fee
- Plus approved property as collateral
This is an example, not a quote or property approval. Notary and applicable county fees are separate.

What Happens Next
- 1
Review the payment options
We explain the deposit or house requirements and the service fees. A house needs approval before you move forward.
- 2
Complete the application and agreement
Review the documents, sign them and make the required payment. If you use a house, we send the document that makes it security for the bond. Sign it before a notary and send a clear scan. We review it and provide instructions and a prepaid FedEx label for the original.
- 3
We check the bond details with ICE
Once the required documents and payment are complete, we request confirmation of the bond information.
- 4
We send the bond to ICE
We use ICE eBonds, the government's online system for bond companies. ICE must accept the bond before release arrangements can move ahead.
When Can the Person Leave Detention?
Release may happen the same day, but it can take longer. A bond company cannot promise an exact release time.
ICE handles bond approval, and the facility handles the steps for the person to leave. Confirm the pickup arrangements before you travel.
Be Careful With Same-Day Release Promises
No bond company can guarantee same-day release. ICE controls bond approval, and the detention center controls when the person can leave.
Before traveling to pick someone up, confirm the release plan with the detention center.
Where Is the Person Detained in Kansas?
Someone arrested in Wichita, Topeka or another Kansas community may be held elsewhere, including another state. Check the current location before making travel plans.

Amistad Bail Bonds offers immigration bond services. We do not give legal advice. The government decides whether a bond is available and sets the amount. An immigration attorney can advise you about the person’s case.
