How to Pay an Immigration Bond in Idaho

With Amistad Bail Bonds, you can use cash or an approved house to back the bond. This is called collateral. You can also pay ICE directly. Amistad Bail Bonds' fees are separate from the collateral.

Cash Deposit With Amistad Bail Bonds

You deposit cash equal to the full bond amount. We hold it as collateral and handle the bond paperwork.

    Cash deposit
    Full bond amount
    Bond fee (premium)
    2% of the bond amount
    Application fee
    $100
    Annual fees
    $0

Your deposit is not a fee. It may be returned after ICE cancels the bond and all agreement terms are met.

Use a House With Amistad Bail Bonds

An approved house can be used instead of a full cash deposit. We review the house at no cost. Having a mortgage does not always rule it out.

    Collateral
    Approved property
    Bond fee (premium)
    15% of the bond amount
    Application fee
    $100
    Annual fees
    $0

A lien is placed on your house to secure the bond, but you keep ownership. Our goal is to complete the bond and release the lien — not take your home. If ICE declares the bond forfeited and the full bond amount becomes due, you can avoid foreclosure by paying Amistad Bail Bonds the amount owed under your agreement. Your home is at risk if that debt goes unpaid. Notary fees and the county fee to record the lien release are separate.

    Pay ICE Directly

You can also pay ICE directly. If you meet their requirements, you send ICE the full bond amount and handle the steps yourself — without paying any Amistad Bail Bonds fees.

How to Get Started With Amistad Bail Bonds

You don't need everything ready to call. Here's what helps us get started.

    What to Have Ready

    • Your family member's full name
    • Their A-Number, the number on their immigration papers, if you have it
    • The name of the detention center, if known
    • The bond amount, if one has been set
    • Your name and phone number

Don't have all the details? That's okay. We'll help you with the next steps. We do need the A-Number before posting the bond.

    What Happens Next

    1. 1

      Choose how to pay

We explain the costs and the cash and house options. If you want to use a house, we review it before you move forward.

    2. 2

      Complete the paperwork and payment

Fill out the application and sign the agreement. If you use a house, the required owners must sign the property document before a notary. Send us a clear scan for review, then follow our instructions for sending the original with the prepaid FedEx label.

    3. 3

We check the bond details with ICE

Once the required documents and payment are complete, we ask ICE to confirm the bond details.

    4. 4

We send the bond to ICE online

After ICE confirms the details, we send the bond through its online system for approval. ICE must accept the bond before the release process can move forward.

    Release Timing

How Long Does Release Take After the Bond Is Posted?

Some people are released the same day. Others wait longer. Posting the bond does not mean the person will be released right away.

ICE must approve the bond payment first. The detention center then handles the release. Amistad Bail Bonds keeps you updated throughout the process.

Be Careful With Same-Day Release Promises

No bond company can guarantee same-day release. ICE controls bond approval, and the detention center controls when the person can leave.

Before traveling to pick someone up, confirm the release plan with the detention center.

These county jails have held people for ICE. Use the guides below for contact details and next steps. Your family member may have been moved to another jail or another state, so check their current location before traveling.

Detention Center, ICE Office or Court?

These are different places with different purposes.

    Detention center

Where the person is being held. Ask the center about visits, calls and its release arrangements.

    ICE office

A government office for immigration matters and appointments. An office address does not mean your family member is detained there.

    Immigration court

Handles hearings in the immigration case. Check the latest court notice for the date, time and location. The court may be outside Idaho.

Court notices are the official reference. The EOIR tool does not show every case or every detail.

    FAQ

    Idaho Immigration Bond Questions

What is an Idaho immigration bond?

An immigration bond may allow someone to leave ICE detention while their case continues. They must follow ICE's instructions and attend required hearings. Leaving detention does not end the immigration case. It is separate from bail in an Idaho criminal case.

Is an immigration bond the same as Idaho criminal bail?

No. An immigration bond is for ICE custody. Bail in a state or county criminal case is a separate process. The options and prices on this page apply to Amistad's immigration bond services.

How do I find someone in ICE custody in Idaho?

Start with ICE's official detainee locator. Search with the person's A-Number and country of birth, or their full name and country of birth. The place where someone was arrested may be different from where they are held now.

Can someone detained in Idaho be transferred?

Yes. ICE may move the person to another facility or another state. Confirm the current location before traveling.

Can I start from another state without traveling to the jail?

Yes. You can start with Amistad by phone or online. If a bond has already been set, call with the details you have. You do not need to visit the jail to begin with us.

Do I get the deposit back when my family member leaves detention?

Release alone does not end the bond. ICE must cancel it, and the agreement requirements must be met before the cash deposit can be returned or the claim on a house can be released. The service fees are separate from the deposit.
