According to the current EOIR Administrative Control List, the Boston Immigration Court is associated with documents issued by the Boston DHS District Office for non-detained respondents. The Chelmsford Immigration Court has administrative responsibility for detained matters involving locations such as the Massachusetts Department of Correction and Plymouth County Correctional Facility.
These assignments should not be used to guess where a specific case is pending.
The ICE office known as the Boston Field Office is located in Burlington and serves a broader New England area. It is a federal office—not an Amistad location—and families do not need to travel there to complete the Amistad application.
An Immigration Bond Is Separate From Massachusetts Bail
Massachusetts criminal bail and a federal immigration bond are different obligations.
