An immigration bond is federal. It is not the same as bail ordered in a Nevada criminal case.
Nevada State or Local Custody
A person may be held in a city or county jail for a Nevada criminal case. Posting that bail does not resolve any separate immigration custody.
Federal Criminal Custody
A federal criminal bond is also different from an ICE immigration bond. Confirm which agency currently has custody before beginning an application.

Amistad cannot request a hearing, establish or reduce the amount, or appeal a no-bond decision. Immigration bond eligibility depends on the legal authority governing the detention.
Some people may not qualify for a bond or an Immigration Judge bond hearing.

Someone arrested in Las Vegas, Henderson or another Nevada community may later be held in Pahrump or transferred to a different facility. Confirm the person's current location before relying on visitation, court or bond information.
Being held at Nevada Southern Detention Center does not automatically mean that the person qualifies for a delivery bond.

The assigned Immigration Court cannot always be determined from the city of arrest.

The official bond document identifies the type that has been authorized.
Delivery Bond
A delivery bond can support release from ICE custody when DHS or an Immigration Judge with jurisdiction has authorized it. The bonded person must comply with the conditions of the bond and future immigration requirements.
Voluntary Departure Bond
This bond helps guarantee compliance with an authorized voluntary departure order. It serves a different purpose from a delivery bond.
Order of Supervision Bond
ICE may authorize this bond as part of specific supervision conditions.
ICE recognizes these bond categories through its federal bond system. Not every bond type or situation qualifies for an Amistad surety bond.
